Hiya Friends of the Fisheye, long time no chat. I truly hope that your laptop gathered dust under your bed and your phone stayed on your side table. If you had to stay somewhat connected, that’s also beautiful. I just hope you all got the rest you deserved.

As fast as we have jumped into Jan,

let’s not hesitate to chat some inspiration to take us into the new year.

Here at Fisheye, we are taking the new year by the horns. May we be BOLD, FEARLESS and move through it all with a handful of yolo in our back pocket!

Going back to my title, let's break this down a little.

‘Our dreams are orders from you to you’

Yip, how simple is that? When we enter a new year we write lists, create ambitions, and set our goals and daydream of how we would ideally want this year to turn out. I personally love this exercise and see great value in it.

This holiday I managed to get my head into a few books and I managed to learn a lot from the book Untamed by Glennon Doyle. (I highly recommend, especially for woman)

Glennon speaks about this concept of how your dreams are orders from you to you. We always have this idea that because we are dreaming it means it can’t come true, as if this idea floats high above us on the clouds, in sight but something we can never quite get our hands around. Well, Glennon and I for that matter are here to break this narrative down even just a little bit.

Dreams only stay in the sky if you let them, ideas are only left as I thought if you let it. The way we get our hands around our dreams is to pull it down into our arms and run with it. The difference between you and the person who just started their dream company is simple, they just did it. Why can’t you? Sure it takes balls, ambition, and hard work, money. I know you have all those things nailed down. So yeah, write your list, plot down your dreams, and then on the page next to it, start writing down how you are going to get it done.
